Partner Highlight

Rev Natalie MitchemThe AHA/ASA is proud to collaborate with the International Health Commission of AMEC under the leadership of Bishop W.J Messiah-Health Commission Chair, Rev. Natalie Mitchem – Executive Director (pictured here) and Rev. Dr. Miriam Burnett – Medical Director. Both organizations are collaborating to raise awareness and conduct health-related activities that encourage preventive measures which will decrease the incidence of cardiovascular disease and stroke in the African-American communities “Together we can stop and prevent heart disease and stroke with Faith, a fork, knife and spoon. God has placed powerful phyto-nutrients in plant based foods that are created to heal, repair, maintain and restore health”. This partnership provides the opportunity to impact the health of over 2.5 million AME members in 4,000 churches worldwide. The activities for this partnership will kick off in July at the 200th General Conference of the AME church, where both organizations will host the 4th Annual Faith Based Wellness, Health, Nutrition, and Fitness Month for over 20,000 participants and 20 health commission members. Come join us on July 3rd -13th.
